Memorial Day Weekend 2011

We had the best holiday weekend!! The weather was perfect and Lola was itching to get outside.  As soon as she woke up Saturday morning she said "Outside Mommy?" She is such a tomboy!

The kids played outside on their slip-n-slide.  The pictures speak for themselves!!

We had such a fun filled weekend!! Loved every minute of it!

Sweet kiddos!!

Family Pic!! Lola looks so enthused, doesn't she?

Pigtails! She looked so adorable.

Fun In The Sun!!!

A couple of weeks ago the local volunteer fire department had an open house cookout.  There was a bounce house that all the kids were playing in.  Lola kept saying "OOOH Mommy, look!" as she would watch all the kids jumping around.  She was a little apprehensive at first, but then she worked up her nerve to test it out.

Taking a peek before actually heading up...

Afraid to stand up...

A little wobbly...

Getting there...

In mid-air!!!!!

Running back and forth after everyone got out.

She had so much fun she screamed "NO MOMMY" when I had to go in after her so we could leave!!

Colored Bubbles...Enough Said!!

Since it was nice outside, me TOTALLY forgetting about the bubble gun, we went outside to play.  We were all in the front yard watering the flowers and checking on the grass we planted, when looked up and didn't see Lola...

See that faded blue spot behind her?  That is where the bubble gun was sitting from the day before when she attempted to pour out all the bubbles the first time!!

Thank GOODNESS they were washable!

Rewind...Lola's Life Through Pictures (Part 2)

I am trying to catch this blog up to speed since, stupid me, didn't start this before Lola was born!!  So here we go... start year 2...

Fall 2010

Loving her naked baby...she refuses to keep clothes on her babies!!!
She tells me all the time "Baby cold".  Ha!

Opening her "Ye-Ha" from Pops and Ya Ya...

Eating fun-dip with Oma...

Sliding down the exit at Pump-It-Up.  She was terrified when we first got there.
She didn't want to get on any of the blow ups.  She finally worked up the nerve just before we left...

Sitting with Ya Ya eating the chocolate house that Pops got her for Valentines day...

Eating ice cream at Dairy Queen...

Sitting in Daddy's boat...

Riding on KK's bike with Daddy...

Riding her 4-wheeler...

Splashing around the yard wearing her favorite boots.

Happy Mother's Day!!

For Mother's Day this year I decided (thanks Kristy for the idea) that I would get hanging flower baskets and create a tiny flower garden for the wonderful mothers in our lives.  I figured that Lola would thoroughly enjoy helping me because she loves all things dirty.  Instead of helping me plant the flowers, all she wanted to do was pull all the petals off.  So she didn't help for very long before she was ordered to stay at least 3 feet away from the flowers.  She was NOT very happy about that.  So to calm her down, because she was FURIOUS, I made some little signs to put in the baskets and let her put her own little artistic touch on them.  This turned that frown upside down.

Painting the sign...

And herself... Ha!

After they dried, she wanted to put it in the basket...

I was pleasantly surprised that she didn't pull all the flowers out...

The finished product!!! I think it turned out so good!!

Happy Mother's Day Oma, Ya Ya, & Nanny!!!

Once again, my little tomboy found a mudhole to play in.

She got a bath with the water hose before she came in the house :)
