No Trickin, Just Treatin!!

Lola was so excited about Halloween this year. She is really at a great age to really get into it!

I bought her costume about two months ago when the stores first started putting them out. I didn't want to wait and franticly try to find something last minute. It's been hanging in her closet ever since so she saw it for the first time Halloween Eve. I thought this might be a good time to try it on just in case any adjustments needed to be made. It fit great minus the pants were a little big in the waist and a little long. She was so excited when she got it on, she did NOT want to take it off. I think she thought we were going trick or treating right then! Ha!

My little cupcake!

We ended up going to my dad's house again this year. Last year they had a pre-trick or treating party complete with lots of refreshments and snacks, a hayride/trick or treating mobile that got all the neighborhood kids to the houses faster, and pillowcases full of candy by the end of the night. It was a blast! This year they decided to do it on a smaller scale. We all piled up in the Rhino and went door to door hitting all the houses with porchlights on.

Sitting in the Rhino waiting to go.

Lola was a little timid at first but once she realized by saying "trick or treat" they would give her candy, she turned into an old pro! Ha!

She did really good and I can't WAIT to see her reaction next year!

Playtime!!

Last Weekend Chris was gone on Saturday so it was just Lola and I all day long.  I was cleaning all morning so Lola was stuck in the house with me...she was NOT happy about this. She kept climbing onto the back of the couch and looking out the window saying "Outside Mommy?" Since it was so pretty outside we decided to go to the school down the street and play on the playground. I was really nervous about it since usually Chris is with us (4 hands to make sure she doesn't fall). But she is getting so independent that even if she needs help she doesn't want it. *tear*

Going up the stairs to the slide...

Sliding...

And done...

And again...

And again... this went on for at least 30 minutes

My little daredevil monkey...FEARLESS!!

She thought this was so funny! Ha!

She was mad because I made her stop her vicious cycle of sliding so that we could go eat lunch. She was pouting on the swing!

Needless to say that after the walk home she was so exhausted she was ready for a nap!

Lola LOVES Lipgloss!

A few weeks ago when we went to Granny's house, Lola sat in the backseat with Ca-Ca (Lola's name for my sister Jessica).  Ca-Ca stared to put on lipgloss and Lola just had to have some. So my sister first showed her how to put it on and then it was Lola's turn. She was soooooo excited about it!

Getting the top off and laughing excitedly...

And tasting it while saying "mmmmmm"! Ha!

Disney on Ice

A few weeks ago Ya-Ya took Lola and I to see Disney on Ice. It was so exciting!! I've never been to anything like that before and I was really impressed with how much fun it was!...and I think Lola had fun too! Ha! Please note that these pictures were taken with my phone. Sorry they are so dark.

She was soooo into it!

I was really worried about how she was going to do sitting there so long. She did great!

Sharpe Wedding 9~10~11

A good friend of mine and her boyfriend tied the knot in a beautiful beach ceremony in Ft Walton Beach, FL on September 10, 2011.  Chris and I went down for the weekend.  The drive was exhausting but it was nice to get away and spend some time with our friends that we never get to see anymore.  We spent WAY too much money but it was worth it!

Laura and Justin's engagement picture. Love this!

Whoo Hoo!!! So funny!!

Congratulations Laura & Justin!!!!!!!!

We didn't take many pictures while we were there so here is the only one we did take.

Chris and I on the beach before the wedding.

While we were in Florida, Lola stayed with Pops and Ya-Ya. They spoiled her rotten the entire weekend!! Here she is at the zoo with them feeding the birds. She is growing up too fast!

Just A Swingin`...

For Lola's birthday my mom got her this swing. We don't have a swing set or anything to hang it from so we decided to just put it in the tree in the front yard. Lola LOVES it!! Everyday when she gets home or anytime she goes outside she always says "I wanna sfing mommy?!" When she is in it she sings me songs while I push her. Her favorite right now is "The Wheels on the Bus". Her favorite is doing all the hand motions. Apparently they sing this song a lot at the sitter's house because she can sing every verse.

Smiling in her swing wearing her kitty cat outfit that Ya-Ya got her ( also a birthday present)

She's starting to get upset because I stopped pushing her to take some pictures

To Granny's House We Go!

Last weekend we went to my Granny's house in Selmer, TN. Lola had the best time with my cousin's little girl Alexis. They played all afternoon in this wagon pulling each other around. Then my mom got the bright idea to get in the wagon with one of the girls and ride it down the hill!! They were so excited. As soon as one would go down the other would run up to my mom and yell "My turn!!"

Heber Springs, AR

This summer, Chris's boss invited all the guys that work for him and their families to stay in his house in Heber Springs, AR.  It was so nice to get away for the weekend and NO ONE had more fun than Lola!! I was actually a little nervous because she really has only been in a swimming pool and she has only done that a few times. I didn't know how she would react to all the water. I had nothing to worry about!! I bought her a life jacket and brought her floatie ring and she was all set! She is definately a water baby and did not want to get out for anything!

Lola's friend Chace and his daddy Greg (Chace wasn't as fond of the water as Lola was)

She was so exhausted she literally passed out.

She woke up about 45 mins later when she started sweating

Mrs. Kim and Lola playing in the water

This baby was so tired after this weekend, she slept the entire 3 hour drive home!! Two days of being in the water totally drained her.  She had such a blast though!!
